Outdoor Cleanup

Hey all!

So last Saturday I went around with a few others and picked up some trash that was laying around. We cleaned out the park at the top of the hill and we also cleaned out that small, makeshift pathway behind the football stadium. We had gloves and trash bags so we wouldn’t get sick or anything and it was super easy. We had like 8 people attend it so it went super fast as well. The greatest thing though, is after you’re all done, you feel really good about yourself because you helped out the environment!!

BLOW THOSE FINALS AWAY

20160507_115945.jpgHello 6 South!

Tomorrow night I will be handing out blow pops for all of you so you will be better prepared to blow your finals away. I know this week can be very stressful, but my advice for you is to take it one day at a time; one test at a time! Good luck on your last week! If you need me at all, you know where I live. 🙂

Have a great weekend!

Etiquette Dinner with Leadership LLC

Table-Setting.png

I attended the Leadership LLC’s Etiquette dinner this past Thursday. Not only did we get to enjoy some very delicious food, we also got to learn about the proper and professional ways of eating at fancy events. These lessons we learned will be very beneficial if I ever have a job interview over dinner or a holiday party with my boss. I will now not embarrass myself or lose a job over the proper way of eating. Check out the picture above on all of the items you could have in front of you for a dinner. Now you will know what they are for.  🙂

Have a great weekend!

Karaoke Night

Thank you all of those who came to my hall wide event of Karaoke. There was a great turn out and we all seemed to have a great time! Watch this short clip of Kathryn Peck (RD) singing “Let it Go.” She nailed it, if you ask me!

Until Next Time, RA Lara.

Late Night at the Markee!

Last Friday, I attended an event on campus called Late Night at the Markee! This is my absolute favorite event held on campus every year. This year the Markee was packed with laser tag, inflatable races, mechanical bull, balloon artist, trivia, and much more. All of the activities are free and they run from 11pm to 2am. This year before the event CPR brought in the awarded 2016 Entertainer of the Year, Sailesh the Hypnotist, to campus. Sailesh was a high-energy hypnotist that put on a completely interactive performance! Shout out to Derek on 6 South who had the opportunity to get hypnotized. He was hilarious and the whole show was amazing!

Hope to see you there next year! ~RA Lara
